Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Anamaduwa

Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, our friendly driver/guide will meet and assist you. You will then be transferred to Anamaduwa, a tranquil town situated about 2.5 hours away. Settle into your accommodation and relax after your journey.

Day 2: Local Village and Water Tank Experience

Explore the local rural village of Anamaduwa, where you’ll get a glimpse into traditional Sri Lankan life. Visit a nearby water tank, where you can enjoy swimming or kayaking in the serene surroundings. Relish a picnic lunch near the water tank amidst nature. Optionally, you can enjoy a bicycle ride through the scenic countryside, experiencing the area’s natural beauty up close.

Day 3: Historical Anuradhapura and Transfer to Sigiriya

Journey to Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient ruins and sacred Buddhist sites. Explore its historic monuments, including the Sri Maha Bodhi tree and ancient stupas. After your visit, continue your journey to Sigiriya, where you will prepare for the next day's adventure.

Day 4: Village walk

Nestled in the heart of Sri Lanka, Habarana offers a unique glimpse into the vibrant and authentic rural life of its farming communities. This immersive village experience invites visitors to connect with the land and its people, showcasing the rich agricultural traditions that have sustained these communities for generations.

Day 5: Polonnaruwa and Minneriya Safari

Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ruins and historical significance. In the afternoon, embark on a jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and diverse wildlife, particularly during the Elephant Gathering season.

Day 6: Transfer to Kandy with Enroute Highlights

Travel to Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its cultural heritage. En route, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of cave temples with intricate murals and statues. Stop by a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s spice trade and its various spices.

Day 7: Kandy Highlights and Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage

In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most important sites, housing a relic of the Buddha’s tooth. Then, head to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where you can observe the care and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants. Also, explore the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, known for its vast collection of plant species and beautifully landscaped grounds.

Day 8: Scenic Train Journey to Nuwara Eliya

Experience a scenic train journey from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya, passing through lush tea plantations and picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, take a brief city tour of Nuwara Eliya, known for its colonial architecture and cool climate. Discover how British colonial influences have shaped the city’s charm.

Day 9 - 12: Beach Stay in Bentota

Transfer to Bentota, where you will enjoy a relaxing beach stay. Spend the next few days lounging on the golden sands, swimming in the azure waters, and engaging in water sports or leisurely beach activities. Immerse yourself in the tranquil coastal environment.

Day 13: Transfer to Negombo via Colombo

Depart from Bentota and travel to Negombo, with a stop in Colombo. In Colombo, you can explore some of the city’s highlights, including its vibrant markets and historic sites, before continuing to Negombo.

Day 14: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure. Reflect on your memorable journey through Sri Lanka as you head to your next destination.
